Antisocial disorder can be defined as a kind of a chronic illness, which affects the human mental health. It can also be referred to as Sociopathic Personality Behavior.

The condition makes a person’s way of thinking abnormal, destructive and offensive to others. A person suffering from this condition has a perception different from the normal human one.

This person becomes agitative, and may look at wrong or right as a right for him to exercise. This therefore results to breaking of the law and as a result, the person may make the law enforcers notice him and seek to find out whether he is on drugs or consuming alcohol in a self-destructive way.

Antisocial disorder is not only offensive in the law, but it also makes those living with the sick person suffer emotionally or be in danger from the abnormal person.

If this person is a husband to a certain woman, he may subject those close to him to the following;

  • Failure to fend for his family
  • He might abuse his children and others’ or even defile them.
  • Lack of remorse whenever he is on the wrong
  • Repeatedly getting into problems with the law
  • Failure to satisfy his spouse as far as conjugal rights are concerned.
  • Neglecting his parents and other dependants
  • Desertion of his workplace duties
  • Low performance at work or low quality work done if any
  • Unable to present himself decently therefore bringing shame to his family and those close to him

As a result of the above failures, this person may subject his close ones and himself to the following.

  • Long-term shame and regret
  • They may reject him
  • Some may take him to a rehabilitation centre for correction of behavior where the comfort of the centre might not be as goods as that of the home.
  • A young man or woman/girl may be unable to concentrate on the cycles of life and miss out on important natural duties and life stages such as dating and marriage and other entertainments..

The list is endless and anything left is another disadvantage. Nothing good can come out of the mental abnormality.

According to long-term research, most of the people who are in the harmful antisocial behavior are those in their twenties.

As they age, the behavior dies away or reduces in the life of those in the twenties age bracket. It is not very clear if it is out of healing from the rehabilitation or it is due to realization that he is lagging behind his age mates, since he wasted time concentrating on factors, which led him to the hateful life of alcohol and drugs.
